Adopted: 6/28/04 Stewartville School District Policy 701.5 Revised: 701.5 SPECIAL EDUCATION TUITION AGREEMENTS AND BILLING POLICY FOR NON-RESIDENT STUDENTS ATTENDING IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT I. AGREEMENTS A. All non-resident special education tuition agreements will be prepared and mailed to the school responsible for payment by the special education secretary. B. The special education secretary will send a copy of the agreement to the superintendent’s secretary who will file it in the master “Tuition Agreements” file. II. TUITION BILLING A. The special education coordinator/secretary will send copies of the individualized education plan (IEP) information needed to bill the different districts to the accounting technician at the beginning of the year and at the end of each school year (before the special. education secretary leaves for the summer). Data needed includes settings, disabilities, minutes, and program information. B. The accounting technician will generate the billing and mail it to the responsible school districts. C. The accounting technician will give a copy to the superintendent’s secretary. D. The superintendent’s secretary will send a copy to the special education secretary and file the other copy in the master “Tuition Agreements” file. Legal References: Cross References: |
